Nei giorni della tragedia di Amatrice, il giornalismo tv italiano ha sfondato un nuovo limite. I droni sono stati utilizzati per sorvolare le macerie ed entrare negli anfratti più inaccessibili dello scenario drammatico che il terremoto aveva disegnato ad Amatrice, Arquata del Tronto e Accumoli. I droni hanno compiuto voli puliti e perfetti in mezzo alle rovine di case e vite distrutte. Quelle immagini, così stereotipate e fredde nella forma (tanto quanto erano tragiche nella sostanza), hanno cambiato la percezione delle cose. (altro…)

Che fine ha fatto la Tv italiana? L’industria televisiva innova ben poco.
Nelle analisi internazionali su tendenze e innovazione, l’Italia è assente. Secondo un recente report di “Nota – New ON The Air”, il servizio di monitoraggio del sistema televisivo di “Eurodata Tv Worldwide”, nel 2015 sono stati inventati più 8500 programmi nuovi. Nei 44 Paesi monitorati da “Nota”, più della metà dei nuovi programmi sono creazioni originali locali. Le serie tv rappresentano il 40%, i factual e documentari il 37% e i programmi di intrattenimento il 23%. Il confronto con le produzioni del 2015 nel nostro Paese è imbarazzante. Si pensa alle nomine. Si discute del canone. Sono temi che appartengono alla preistoria della tv. La sfida delle Telco. (altro…)

Bill Murray’s “A Very Murray Christmas” on Netflix hearkens back to the days when the broadcast networks ruled TV. Guess who rules TV now?

BILL MURRAY’S “A Very Murray Christmas” starts streaming on Netflix today. It’s an hour-long throwback to what a lot of television once was: an old fashioned variety show. The story doesn’t matter much; what does is the sentiment. Murray sings, he dances, he laments, and he drinks. He’s joined by Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, George Clooney, and Miley Cyrus, among others. And while the songs haven’t changed all that much since the ’50s, the homage has been updated with just the right amount of self-awareness for our more self-conscious time. (altro…)
