Altri 12.000 metri quadrati di uffici per il team di iAD a New York. Gli uffici si trovano sulla 5th Strada presso l’edificio Flatiron building del 1906.

Apple is expanding its non-retail presence in New York City, BusinessInsider is reporting, with an additional 40,000 square feet in a 1906 Flatiron building on Fifth Avenue. The company’s iAd group already resides in a 10,000 square foot space within the same building, and the report characterizes the additional footage as “executive offices” and says Apple will use the space to “launch new business projects.”

Plans call for the new offices to resemble the look of the retail stores, with an emphasis on white colors, sleek elevators and LED lighting. The terms of the lease were undisclosed, according to the report, but the original asking price for the space was $55 per square foot. Apple is known for tough negotiating on lease prices, usually by agreeing to longer terms than normal.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs, in a recent presentation to the Cupertino City Council presenting plans for a new corporate headquarters, spoke briefly about the growth of Apple’s non-retail personnel and that the company had been forced to lease offices outside the grounds of its California campus to accommodate even the employees they have now. It was part of the rationale for Apple’s plan to build a far larger headquarters that the company hopes to have open in 2015.
